These chips can enhance certain capabilities, like reloading speed or damage. They can even be used to empower beam-based weapons. But, it's important to keep in mind that these items don't increase the amount of charges available or reload time They will only work for an upgraded version of the item. It is important to keep in mind that upgrades may block visual effects, such as the enchantment glints. If you want to disable these overlays, you can do so in the Item Upgrader CORE client config under decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays. It's important to remember that recycling should only be considered as a last option. It's crucial to cut down on consumption and focus on high-quality products that can be repaired or repurposed. Rerolling The rerolling process allows players to change the stats of an armor, weapon, or ring. This is done by pressing the green button with circular arrows that circle the item. This will result in a faster attack speed and a higher damage for all abilities of the item, including those that do not use physical attacks. The new upgrade will not alter the damage base of the sword. Upgrades can also alter the upgrade path of an item, decreasing your chance of acquiring an ineffective affix. This is especially important for equipment, like Rogue gear, which relies on a high-quality affix to be successful in the game. In addition to rerolling, the upgrader for the item can also transfer substats between items. This mechanic is only available for rings, and can only be performed on items of the same tier and rarity. This is a great way to upgrade an item without spending lots of money. There is a small extension for the re-rolling system called EZ Upgrader which can be purchased with 1 Angel Investors. The extension doesn't provide any benefits in the game, but it makes the upgrade process a lot faster. It also adds an option on the tab Manager's Upgrades that shows you the cheapest Cash upgrade that you can buy. Sets There are a few sets in the game that provide special bonuses when their components are upgraded. It could be a +2 damage or a +1 defense. These sets aren't exclusive to one class or race and can be utilized by any character. There are restrictions to this, as all items included in the set must be the same kind of item (armor or trinket or weapon). It is important to keep in mind that an upgrade can fail. You will lose any Upgrade Crystals or Upgrade Stones you used to upgrade the item if the upgrade fails. It's not every time however it is frequent enough that players need to be aware when they upgrade their equipment. Cash shop items can increase the odds of an upgrade being successful and lower the chance that equipment will be lost due to a failed upgrade. It's also important to know that upgrading an item of gear can increase its stats and requirements. This includes the armor's damage, defense and required strength and agility. This will also increase the weapon's damage base. Upgrades to weapons and armor require different amounts of Valorstones depending on the item level and the level of the item, with higher levels needing more. The upgrade system is a great method of making your favorite gear better. While I'm not sure allowing upgrades on set items would be an ideal idea since it could trivialize the game but it could be a fun feature for uniques. Upgraded Hwanins Bills might not be OP however they might be useful in the early stages of hell, before high-level runewords are acquired. Another great feature of the upgrade system is rerolling. You can exchange an item for a newer one that has a higher stat base and a different bonus. For example, a helmet can be transformed into a shield or a sword, and it can transform is transformed into the form of a Cloak. Rerolling an item won't increase your chances of receiving a BIS but it does decrease the amount of resources that you use to upgrade. The higher the level the higher the chance that stats will be boosted. In addition to the standard items, there are also Reforges that can be added to an armor or weapon piece to increase its stats. Reforges vary in strength and cost as well, with reforges for more powerful weapons requiring more expensive prices. Item upgrades are a fantastic way to boost the performance of equipment, but they can also be used for other purposes.
